Wild Church Kelowna gathers in the grass and sage covered hills, by the lake, the creek, and the forests in the Kelowna area.
Who We Are
Wild Church Kelowna is a land-based spiritual community gathering on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional territory of the Syilx/Okanagan Peoples, within the Okanagan watershed.
Rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing, our gatherings invite us into circle with Creator, one another, the land, and our more-than-human kin. We gather outdoors to listen deeply, share stories, wander, and reflect on the living world around us.
Our circle is open to people from all backgrounds, traditions, and spiritual journeys. We invite each person to come with curiosity, honour their personal journey, listen respectfully to others, and discover what may emerge when we gather in relationship with the land and one another.
Leadership
Mackenzie Griffin is a Cree-Saulteaux Indigenous woman from Sunchild First Nation who grew up off-reserve near Barrhead, AB. She's lived on Syilx territory since 2018 and has served as the Wild Church Kelowna facilitator since June 2025.
Mackenzie loves sharing stories and drum songs and cultivating circles where people can practice becoming better relatives with Creator, themselves, one another, and their more-than-human kin.

Gatherings
We gather on the first and third Saturdays of each month, at 10:00 am during the spring and summer months and 1:00 pm during the fall and winter. Locations vary throughout Kelowna as we encounter the land across different seasons and landscapes.
