Wild Church Gatherings
Community is one of the essential aspects of Wild Church.
Our spiritual journey is done in relationship with the natural world
and with one another, community means we don’t walk alone.
Gathering together we experience connection to the Wild, Great Mystery and our own souls through individual contemplative practices and reflection time in circle.
We have Wild Churches located in the BC Interior and on Vancouver Island and we have online offerings for those in our communities and those from further away
Wild Church Gatherings

Wild Church Kamloops
Wild Church Kamloops gathers in the grass and sage covered hills, at the confluence of rivers, at wet lands and with the trees in the Kamloops area.
Wild Church gatherings are usually once per month, check the calendar to see the details of the next gathering.

Wild Church Kelowna
Wild Church Kelowna gathers in the grass and sage covered hills, by the lake, the creek, and in the forests in the Kelowna area.
Wild Church gatherings are usually twice per month on the first and third Sunday of the month.

Wild Church Oceanside gathers in the Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere, in the forests, estuaries, beaches and oceanside of the Parksville area

Community is one of the essential aspects for Wild Church but sometimes we just can’t all be together.
Joining one of our online gatherings is a wonderful option for many folks and it brings together our diverse and spread out communities.

Some Info to Help You Out

We meet in local parks and try to make our gatherings as accessible as possible but we know there are still barriers for people. If you need a ride or have other accessibility concerns then touch base with us and we can help you out with a ride or more information about the physical barriers you may encounter. Send us an email

We are out for 60 -90 mins and have some times where we are sitting and some times walking (sitting all the time is an option too) having these items with you can make your time more comfortable:
A chair - for the times we sit, some people are more comfortable sitting on the ground so a blanket to sit on is good
Things to Keep You Warm and Dry - These are our favourite things to use to keep warm
A blanket - really warm one when the weather is chilli
A sheep skin - there are a few of us that use these in the fall, winter and spring to put on our chairs, blocks the wind and it is really snuggly warm
Dressing for cold weather - when spending a considerable amount of time out side and especially when sitting it is easy to get cold. On days when it is cool wearing multiple layers - and more that you think you will need - will help keep you warmer. remember that you can always take off layers! An extra pair of mitts/gloves, hand warmers (there are some reusable ones) and an extra hat can help too!
An umbrella or good rain gear - If it's wet weather then and umbrella or a poncho and waterproof boots and even pants can keep you dry and warm
A warm drink - will help you warm up and keep you hydrated
A Journal - Having a journal and something to write with and if you are a creative you may want to bring some of your favourite portable creative tools
An open mind and heart - Wild Church is a little different than other churches….ok it’s a lot different. There are going to be some things that may be new to you - new practices, new rituals, and a new way of viewing the world and the Sacred. When something is new approaching it with curiosity can make a big difference to your experience.
