Wandering with Abundance
An abundance of pollen for the bees and an abundance of bees for me admire.
As you enter into your wandering in the Holy Wild, begin by setting an intention: to notice the abundance the earth is offering. When you encounter this abundance, pause to offer gratitude—perhaps through words, a gesture, or quiet presence.
Spend time with a more-than-human being who is offering abundance—perhaps the shade of a tree, the fruit on a branch, or seeds scattered on the ground. Gently ask this being why they are offering such generosity. Listen with your body and your imagination, allowing the logical mind to rest while another kind of knowing arises.
Consider what you might offer in reciprocity. It may be your spoken thanks, a gift of water, the care of removing litter, or any gesture that feels natural and true.
As your wander draws to a close, take a moment to offer gratitude to the earth herself—for showing you, once again, the endless generosity that flows at this turning of the season.
After your wander take some time to reflect on this question: What does it feel like to receive a gift from the earth? How do you give back?
